BROOKES, Daniel James The death occurred suddenly on Wednesday, October 07, 2020, at Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague, PEI, with his mother by his side, of Daniel James Brookes of West St. Peters, PEI, formerly of Dartmouth, aged 48. Survived by his daughter, Sadie Brookes-Pece, Dartmouth; his mother, Delores (Dee) Brookes, West St. Peters, PEI; his sister, Krista Brookes, niece, Emma Cooke and nephew, Ethan Cooke, all of Dartmouth; aunts, Jennifer Brookes, Toronto and Margo MacDonald (Joe), Vancouver; cousin, Laura Brookes and her daughter, Mala, Toronto; partner, Shannon Leights and children, Owen and Sophie; as well as extended members of the Stevens family of Eskasoni, Cape Breton. He was predeceased in June 2020 by his father, Ian Brookes. Danny worked for several companies as an IT consultant and most recently as a proud employee of CGI in Stratford. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no visitation or funeral at this time. Interment to take place later in Eskasoni, Cape Breton.
