Cornelius Havenga

HAVENGA, Cornelius Truro/ Prince Edward Island Cornelius Havenga, age 75, of Truro and formerly of Prince Edward Island passed away peacefully in Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche, on Friday, August 7, 2020. Born in Holland, he was a son of the late Hendrik and Ymkje (Brandsma) Havenga. Most of Cornelius’ working life was spent as an insurance broker. Surviving are son, Dwight (Tara); granddaughter, Chelsie (Tanner Geldart); siblings, Meindert (Josephine), Klaas (Wendy), John (Linda), Weiger (Morag), Frank (Tammy), Robert (Wendy), Janet Havenga, Claire Havenga (Greg Roy); many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Henry. Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Truro Homeless Society or Soul Harbour Mission, Truro. The family would like to thank all of the staff of Willow Lodge for their kindness an amazing care.
