Clifford Murdock Bernard

The death occurred at his home in Charlottetown, on Monday, January 14, 2019, of Clifford Bernard, beloved husband of Carol Bernard (nee Phillips), formerly of Hunter River, aged 78. Clifford was the loving father of Jason Dunsford; and loving step-father of Jimmy Gauthier (Shelley), Scott Gauthier (Brandy), Johnny Gauthier (Tara), Jeff Gauthier (Gail), Brenda Blue (Doug) and Gloria McNabb (Kevin); and grandfather of Jessica, Tony, Alec, Essa and Shaun. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Gloria Richie (Bruce); and brother-in-law Doug Phillips (Ruth). Clifford was predeceased by his parents Willard and Bea Bernard (MacLeod); parents-in-law, Jim and Irene Phillips; brother, Donald Bernard (Eileen); and brother-in-law, Raymond Richie. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 New Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 1 - 4 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date at the Central Queens United Church Cemetery, Hunter River.
