Charles Patrick Duffy

Peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Provincial Palliative Care on Sunday, March 11, 2018, of Charles Duffy of Fort Augustus, age 87 years. Beloved husband of Anna Duffy (nee Hughes) and loving father of Kevin (Jeanette), Charlene (Brian Greenan), Carol Anne (Alan Toombs), Maureen Marvin (Kenneth), Patrick (Sharyn), Tom (Cindy), Michael (Shawna), Charles (Linda), Philip (Audrey) and Colin. Charles is also survived by 24 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren; and his brother - Gerard and sisters - Agnes MacDonald (Sydney) and Genevieve Castiday (John). He was predeceased by his infant sons - Thomas and Charles; infant twin daughters; grandson- Jonathan Duffy; parents - Patrick and Irene (Kelly) Duffy; brother - Norbert Duffy and sister-in-law Colleen Duffy. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at St. Patrick's Church, Fort Augustus at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Patrick's Parish would be appreciated. The Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service prior to visitation at 6:30 p.m. Completion of funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
