Cecilia F. "Sis" Dowling

Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth hospital on Sunday, October 21, 2018 of Cecilia "Sis" Dowling (nee Thistle) of Charlottetown age 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Leo "Junior" Dowling. Dear mother of Anne Marie Dowling (Alan Molyneaux), Denise Bevan (Don Gallant), Leo "Butch" (Bernadette), Paul (Jeannie), Gerry (Frances), Charlie (Chitose), Pat (Michele) and Gene. Loving Nanny of 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Sister of Mary Long (Jack deceased) and Mark Thistle (Betty). Sister-in-law of Sylvia Thistle. Sis was predeceased by infant daughter Michele and siblings John (Evelyn), Joe, Lillian (Luke) and Claude. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Thursday, then transferred to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to PEI Humane Society or the PEI Heart and Stroke Foundation.
