Carol Ann (nee Macphail) Smith

Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with her husband and family at her side on Sunday, February 10, 2019, the death occurred of Carol Ann Smith, of Charlottetown, age 53 years. Beloved wife of Hoss (Russell) Smith. Dear mother of Marissa Smith (Mike) and Jenna Smith. Loving grandmother of Jacob. Carol is survived by her sisters Gloria Frizzell (Trevor), Jackie MacPhail-Killorn (Leo) and numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by her father - Jack A. MacPhail and mother - Joan Fall Kennedy. Special thanks to Carol's niece Courtney MacIssac and special friend Audrey Bissett for care given to Carol in her final weeks. Also, Carol's family extends special thanks to the doctors and staff of the Dialysis Unit, including wound care, at the QEH. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Stratford Chapel, Hillsboro Funeral Home, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date at People's Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation, QEH Foundation - Dialysis, Provincial Palliative Care Centre or the Red Cross Foundation would be appreciated.
