MACKAY, Basil Earl Sr. The death occurred peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, surrounded by his family, of Basil Earl MacKay, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy and their children, Patricia (Garth) Cochrane, Dorothy Brazeau, Basil Jr. (Jennifer), Joanne M., Ian (Julie), Barbara (John) Coles, Sandra (Wayne) Luciw, Jacqueline, and Mary (Allan) Scott, grandchildren, Andrew, Stephanie, Daniel, Lindsay, Christopher, Ben, Kaygan, Sarah, Carter, Jacob, Taylor and Hilary, and great-grandchildren Travis, Lincoln, Garrison and Jack. Survived by special brother, Garth (Marjorie) MacKay and brother-in-law George (Shirley) Blackburn, along with his half brothers and sisters. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. A private graveside service will be held in Lorne Valley Cemetery at a later date. No visitation by request. If so desired, donations may be made in Basil’s honour to a charity of your choice.
