PENNY, Wayne We regret to announce the passing of Wayne Penny on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at the Northside Community Guest Home, North Sydney, with his niece, Susan by his side. Born January 21, 1945, in Sydney, Wayne was the son of the late Ethelbert and Hazel (Chappell) Penny. He is survived by his sisters, Roberta (Gerry) Wadden, New Waterford and Sandra Penny, Sydney River; niece, Susan (Tom) Colborne and their children, Amanda and Jeremy; one great-niece; three great-nephews; and special family friend, Maxine Brewster. Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his sister, Mary MacIsaac; brother, David; niece, Carol Richardson; and nephew, Carl Lewis. Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 15 from 6-8 p.m. Covid-19 protocols of masks and social distancing will be in effect.
