It is with Sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, peacefully with family at his side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Thursday, March 15, 2018, of Aubrey “Spic” Doucette, beloved husband of Millie Doucette (nee Peters), of Rustico, aged 84. Spic was the loving father of Terry, Brian (Phyllis), Robbie (Heather), Holly MacKinnon (Howard) and Paula Gallant (Dale); and grandfather of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Regis Peters (Mae); and sisters-in-law, Margaret Peters, Geraldine Doucette (Eric), Yvonne Doucette and friend, Vi. Spic was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Alice (Pitre) Doucette; parents-in-law, Claude and Alvina (Gallant) Peters; beloved son, Shane and daughter-in-law, Arliss; sisters, Eileen (Tom Vanwinkle), Leona (Paul Miller), Freda (Denis Woods) and Francis (Al Legace); brothers, Bud (Betty), Bernie (Thelma), and Ronnie; and brothers-in-law, Norbert and Freddie Peters. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538, Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at a later date in St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
