Montague daycare operator Wendy Hopkins Foote is seeking the Progressive Conservative nomination for District 3, Montague-Kilmuir in the next provincial election.
“I fully believe that everyone should have a chance regardless (of) where they come from and that residents should have an advocate for them,” said Foote. “I feel my diverse life and work experiences would help me be that advocate.”
Foote is the owner/operator of Appleseed Child Care in Montague, along with her husband, Gerry. Appleseed Child Care employs 13 people and provides child care services to dozens of local families.
“I am very proud to call this community home because of the people and the great things happening here. I am a hard worker and a strong voice that will be a champion for the people of this area.”
Foote is a graduate of both Montague Regional High School and Holland College. A long-time PC party member, Foote and her husband live in Montague with their 15-year-old son, Chandler.
The nomination meeting will be held March 5 at the Kaylee Hall in Poole’s Corner.
