The Eastlink Outdoor Snow Kingdom will remain closed Saturday following some heavy rain.

Organizers with the Jack Frost Winterfest have anounced the venue will remain closed Saturday due to safety concerns.

"Sadly Mother Nature has not been kind to us today," said a statement. "After a full site walk-through at the Snow Kingdom with the Canadian Snow Sculpting team it has been decided to keep the Snow Kingdom closed for the remainder of the day due to ongoing safety concerns and to ensure care can be taken by the snow team to allow it to be fully operational Sunday and Monday."
Single day passes that were redeemed at the indoor playland Saturday will be honoured at the outdoor venue on Sunday only.

All indoor activities, including inflatable, petting zoo, face painting will continue as scheduled today.
This evening's event, AURORA on Victoria Row, will still be taking place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event will include a pyrotechnics show.
