University Avenue busiest street for speeding tickets in Charlottetown in October

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The area around one of the entrances to Charlottetown Rural High School was the biggest speed trap in Charlottetown in October.

Charlottetown police issued seven speeding tickets where University Avenue intersects Enman Crescent.

Coming in a close second was another location on University Avenue. Police pulled over six vehicles and issued tickets where the avenue intersects with Brown’s Court.

In third place was Fourth Street which connects the West Royalty Industrial Park with the arterial highway. Police issued three speeding tickets in this location.

There was a three-way tie for fourth place.

Police nabbed three speeders each on Ellis Road, Grafton Street East and Hillsborough Street at Kent Street.

And, there was a seven-way tie for fifth place.

Two tickets were issued each where the arterial highway intersects Route 2, Brackley Point Road and Maple Hills, Lower Malpeque Road and Highfield, Maypoint Road, North River Road and McGill, Route 2 and Melody Lane, Route 2 and Sherwood Road and University Avenue and Belvedere Avenue.
