KENSINGTON, P.E.I. – Another Kensington town councillor has announced his intention to run for re-election on Nov. 5.
Jeff Spencer said Monday he will seek another term after chairing the town’s emergency services committee along with the public works committee.
“Some of my priorities in the coming years are developing a new business park, upgrading the sewer system and continuing to operate in a financially responsible manner,” he said. “One of [my] goals in getting involved in municipal politics was to strive to grow the town so young people wouldn’t have to look elsewhere for opportunities.”
Spencer said this is a point he will continue to focus on.
Spencer lives in Kensington with his wife Angela. The pair’s daughter is currently studying at UPEI, while their son is attending Kensington Intermediate Senior High School.
