A ramp employee at St. John’s International Airport was injured Monday night after he was apparently struck by a jet blast and thrown into a piece of airport equipment a source has told The Telegram.
The incident happened near the Cargojet hangar.
Platoon chief Brian Tucker of the St. John’s Regional fire department could only confirm they responded to the airport for a workplace incident and that an employee received minor injuries but was unable to provide any more details.
The Telegram has contacted the airport authority for comment.
More details will be provided when they become available.
