CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — On Saturday, May 26, Islanders are encouraged to take part in the Alzheimer Society of P.E.I.’s annual IG Walk for Alzheimer’s.
The event takes place at the Victoria Park pavilion in Charlottetown for a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family.
Participants can go early for a fitness warm-up lead by Gordon McNeilly, face printing, a photo booth and so much more.
Registration opens at noon and the walk begins at 1 p.m.
All funds raised on P.E.I. will stay within the province to provide essential programs and services.
There are 2,600 people living with dementia.
Behind each individual, there are five to six care partners providing support.
