A 30-year-old Summerside woman is facing charges of flight from police and dangerous driving after two overnight incidents.
At about 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, Summerside police attempted to stop a red Dodge Avenger in the St. Eleanors area of the city. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed and police did not pursue.
The vehicle was encountered again by police in the Slemon Park area at about 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 27. Police tried to stop the vehicle again and it fled a second time.
The driver was taken into custody shortly after by the RCMP in the New Annan area.
She will be appearing in court at a later date to answer to charges of flight from police and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
