Summerside man gets suspended sentence for attempted theft

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 30-year-old Summerside man has pleaded guilty to one count of attempting to steal property valued at less than $5,000 and one count of failing to attend court as required by a judge.

Curtis George Dyment was given a suspended sentence and must remain on probation for 12 months.

The charges are from May 28 and July 8, respectively. Both occurred in Summerside.
