SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 35-year-old Summerside man will spend time in jail after pleading guilty to a charge.

Chad James Lloyd Desroches has pleaded guilty to one count of assault.

He was sentenced to serve 45 days in jail, though he received permission to do so intermittently. He must also remain on probation for 18 months.

The charge is from May 25 in Summerside.
