SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 60-year-old Summerside man will spend time in jail after pleading guilty to drunk driving.
Michael Edward McCardle pleaded guilty to one count of having a blood alcohol level above the legal limit while also having control of a vehicle.
He was sentenced to serve 21 days in jail, which he received permission to do intermittently, and must remain on probation until his time is served. He must also pay a $2,000 fine and a $600 victim surcharge and is prohibited from driving for 18 months.
The charge is from Aug. 6 in Summerside.
