SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 22-year-old Skinners Pond man has pleaded guilty to one count of driving in a manner dangerous to the public and one count of failing to stop a motor vehicle for a police officer.

Riley Kelvin Buote was sentenced to serve 20 days in jail, which he received permission to do intermittently.

He must also remain on probation until his sentence is served and is prohibited from driving for 12 months.

He must also pay $200 in victim surcharges.

The charges are from Nov. 26, 2019, in Tignish.
