SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Two women face charges after police searched a Summerside residence earlier this week and found cash, drugs and weapons.
The Prince District Joint Force Operations Drug Unit, which is comprised of RCMP, Summerside and Kensington police members, executed a search warrant at a residence in Summerside on Thursday, July 2.
As a result, a half-ounce of cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, methamphetamine tablets, cash and weapons were seized.
A 44-year-old woman was arrested and is facing drug trafficking charges.
A 41-year-old woman was also arrested and is facing drug possession charges.
The investigation into this matter is still ongoing.
The PEI RCMP Police Dog Services and the Summerside Major Crime Unit assisted JFO with the execution of this search warrant.
