SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 39-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman faces drug- and weapons-related charges after police executed a search warrant in Summerside on Tuesday.
The Prince District Joint Force Operations (JFO) Unit, comprised of RCMP, Summerside and Kensington police members, executed the warrant June 16 where they seized 175 grams of crystal methamphetamine, morphine pills, oxycodone pills, Xanax pills, a switchblade knife, a conducted energy weapon (CEW or "taser"), brass knuckles and cash.
The switchblade knife CEW, and brass knuckles are all prohibited weapons.
The man, who was on parole, and the woman were both arrested and have been charged for possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and weapons offences.
The man charged will appear in provincial court on June 17.
Prince District JFO was assisted by the Summerside Major Crime Unit, the RCMP Major Crime Unit and the RCMP's Police Dog Services.
