SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. man faces charges after police conducted a targeted vehicle stop in Summerside on Thursday, Oct. 15.
During the stop, the Prince District Joint Force Operations (JFO) unit, which is comprised of RCMP, Summerside and Kensington police members, seized:
- 12.5 grams of cocaine,
- 47 hydromorphone pills,
- a 30 mg hydromorphone capsule,
- 17 methylphenidate pills, more than $280 in cash and
- a knife.
As a result of this stop, Albert Bridges and a 24 year-old man were arrested.
Bridges, who has a criminal record with several convictions for drug trafficking in the past, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking hydromorphone, possession of methylphenidate and breach of probation.
The second man was released without charge.
The investigation into this matter is still ongoing.
