P.E.I. residents take part in anti-racism protest June 9 in Summerside

A little over 20 people participated in the Allies Against Racism and Discrimination rally in Summerside on Tuesday, June 9. The participants marched from Cannabis P.E.I. to Summerside City Hall. Participants included, from left, Melodie Jordan of Miscouche, Emily Wall of Lot 16, organizer Andrew Morrison of Summerside and Giselle Jordan of Miscouche. This is the second protest against racism and discrimination to take on P.E.I. in a week. Charlottetown Police Services estimated between 8,000 and 10,000 people took part in a Black Lives Matter march in Charlottetown on Friday night.
