It’s kitten season on the Island, and the P.E.I. Humane Society is in desperate need of foster homes and supplies.
The public is welcome to attend the shelter’s foster information session to learn all about what is needed to provide a great foster home until they are ready for adoption.
In order to meet the tremendous need for supplies and donations, the shelter is launching an online “Kitten Donation Drive” from May 18 to May 26. There will also be a Kitten Shower and Foster Information Event on Sunday, May 26
Gift list or monetary donations can be made online, dropped off at the shelter or at businesses who would like to participate.
Every donation online or gift in shelter will get the donor one ballot in a draw to win a workplace basket delivery of kittens and lunch for 10 people.
The PEIHS provides litter, food, toys and all supplies needed to all foster care homes caring for the influx of mother cats and kittens during the year.
They stay in foster care for 12 weeks until they are socialized enough to be adopted.
