SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A Summerside street corner could be closed to parking due to dairy bar traffic.
Coun. Barb Ramsay addressed the issue during the city's committee meeting on June 2, held via video conference.
Drivers have been parking their vehicles on the corner of Water and Rufus streets to visit Sunny's Dairy Bar, which has the property's owner concerned.
When vehicles are parked there, it's harder to turn the corner, which could lead to accidents, Ramsay said.
"It's not a good place to park. Period."
The issue was discussed last year but was postponed as a sidewalk was installed along that road.
The no-parking rule would be permanent, and a final decision will be made at council's next regular meeting this June.
