BORDEN-CARLETON, P.E.I. — Visitors to the Marine Rail Park in Borden-Carleton are reminded not to drive through the gate and over the grass.
“They’re going through the archway?” asked Borden-Carleton Mayor Charlie MacKenzie, at the July 14 council meeting.
“Dead serious,” replied Coun. Laurel Palmer-Thompson.
Drivers are taking vehicles through the narrow archway and over the grass through the park.
Some vehicles enter from the other end near the breakwater as well, said Palmer-Thompson, who suggested installing security cameras.
Also in Borden-Carleton, people are still driving over the former ferry waiting area, said Palmer-Thompson.
The pavement is gone now, and the area has been seeded with grass.
