ALMA, P.E.I. — A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a single vehicle crash in Alma Sunday night.

Prince District RCMP Cpl. Nick Doyle said police and Island EMS responded to the collision along Highway 2 around 8:54 p.m. on Jan. 12.

The driver and a passenger were taken to Prince County Hospital where the driver was subsequently arrested and charged with care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired. 

He was released from police custody while at the hospital.

The corporal had no information on the extent of the injuries to either of the occupants. He said the damage to the vehicle was not significant.
