Illegal fishing nets $1,250 in fines for Dingwells Mills man

David Andrew Blaisdell was recently fined $1,250 for three separate incidents of illegal fishing.

GEORGETOWN, P.E.I. —  A P.E.I. man was fined $1,250 recently for three separate incidents of illegal fishing.

David Andrew Blaisdell of Dingwells Mills pleaded guilty in provincial court to fishing for gaspereau using a dip net between June 15 and June 26 and to jigging for brook trout on both July 22 and July 30.

He was fined $250 on the dip net infraction and $500 for each of the two jigging convictions.
