A frost advisory has been issued by Environment Canada for P.E.I. for early Monday morning.
Patchy frost is expectd to form as clear skies and light winds combine with cooler temperatures. Minimum temperatures near zero in low lying inland areas are expected.
Environment Canada advises frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas and to take preventative measure to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.
Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
