SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A French River man has pleaded guilty to one count of breaching a fishing license by having rope attaching a lobster trap to a primary buoy remain floating on the surface of the water after the lobster trap has been set.

Clark Phillip MacKay was fined $2,000 and must forfeit six traps.

The charge is from June 7 in fishing waters off Prince County.
