Drugs, cash seized from North Bedeque, P.E.I. residence

A 61-year-old Prince County man was arrested and charged with drug trafficking Thursday after the Prince District Joint Force Operations (JFO) executed a search warrant.

On May 21, police entered a residence in North Bedeque and seized more than 26 grams of cocaine, 1.5 pounds of cannabis (around 680 grams) and more than $3,800 in cash.

The Prince District JFO, made up of officers from the RCMP, Summerside and Kensington Police Services, was assisted by the Summerside police's Major Crime Unit and the RCMP police dog service.

The investigation is ongoing.
