SOURIS, P.E.I. — P.E.I. will help set the stage for an Acadian celebration this summer.

The sixth edition of the Congrès mondial acadien will take place Aug. 10-24 on the Island and in southeastern New Brunswick.

The mission of the Congrès mondial acadien and this 15-day celebration is to unite Acadians and all those interested in Acadian culture.

The Town of Souris is excited to be chosen as one of the 20 host communities of the Congrès mondial acadien 2019.

The one-day CMA 2019 celebration in Souris on Aug. 12 starts at noon and will offer historic tours, Acadian food tasting, family reunion celebrations, cultural activities, storytelling and more followed by an evening concert with Christine Melanson and award-winning group The East Pointers.
