SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A proposed six-unit townhouse development for 291 and 295 MacEwen Road in Summerside has cleared another hurdle.

The project, proposed by developer Kujtim Musliu, appeared before council’s Planning Board Tuesday evening as a zoning amendment has been requested.

City staff have examined the proposal and recommended it be approved.

There were some concerns from neighbours regarding water drainage, but staff have concluded the issue should be mitigated by the property’s integration into the city’s storm water system.

Council will make a final decision on the request at its Feb. 18 council meeting.
