BONAVISTA, N.L. — As of 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, the Town of Bonavista has declared a state of emergency.
In a post announcing the decision on Facebook, the town says, given the current and forecasted weather conditions, a state of emergency is in effect in the town and will remain until lifted.
“All businesses are ordered to close and all vehicles except emergency vehicles are prohibited from using town roads,” reads the Facebook post.
