Island artists are invited to apply for funding during the spring 2019 round of arts grants.
Applications for funding can be submitted at Arts Grants program (https://www.princeedwardisland.ca/en/information/innovation-pei/arts-grants-program) for three types of grants, including creation, dissemination and professional development.

The deadline to apply is June 12, 4 p.m.

Successful applicants are selected by a six-member jury of their arts community peers, which is modeled on the practice followed by the Canada Council of the Arts.

There is $50,000 available in this round of funding, with another round of $50,000 in the fall.

Melissa Mullen’s theatre group, the Homestead Players, which also included Rob MacLean and the late Harry Baglole, was the recipient of a $7,000 creation grant under the program in 2017.

Since the fall of 2016, the province has supported 72 Island artists with grants totalling $300,000.
