The property is located between Water Street and South Drive

An application to rezone property near the Summerside boardwalk has been recommended for approval.

The original application was presented during a May 20 council meeting on behalf of the city's economic development department.

The reason in part for the rezoning is to better enable developers to build on the land which is located between Water Street and South Drive.

The application will be voted on at the next monthly council meeting.
