Alberton man sentenced for impaired driving

A man and a woman, in two separate incidents, were charged with impaired driving in Stephenville on Saturday.

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 21-year-old Alberton man has pleaded guilty to having a blood alcohol level above the legal limit while also having control of a vehicle.

Cobey Joseph Albert was sentenced to serve three days in jail, was fined $1,000 and must pay a victim surcharge of $300.

He is also prohibited from driving for 12 months.

The charge is from Sept. 21 in Alberton.
