CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A former Bluefield High School youth worker charged with trafficking is set to enter a plea next month.
The plea for Arthur Francis McGuigan was adjourned in Charlottetown Provincial Court Tuesday. The plea is now scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6.
McGuigan is facing a charge related to a drug offence.
Last month, the Crown amended the drug charge from possession to trafficking.
McGuigan is also scheduled to appear in P.E.I.’s Supreme Court in May to enter a plea on charges of sexual assault and sexual exploitation.
This is the second time McGuigan has faced sex-related charges.
In 2014 McGuigan pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation and drug trafficking involving a female student stemming from incidents in August 2013. He was sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison.
