Traffic
Road work continues in Charlottetown today, weather permitting, and may cause traffic delays or road closures in some areas.
Burns Avenue off of North River Road will be reduced to one lane, stop and go traffic for the day for milling to take place
The section of Norway Road between St. Peters Road and Oak Drive will be closed for the day for paving to take place, with no access from St. Peters Road.
Be advised that sidewalk work will continue on Victoria Street between Spring Park Road and Spring Street; on Chestnut Street between University Avenue and Queen Street; and on the north side of Brows Lane.
The right turning lane on Capital Drive onto North River Road will be closed for the week to allow for storm sewer pipe installation. Traffic control personnel will be onsite, as traffic will still be permitted to make a righthand turn at this intersection, through the through lane on Capital Drive. Drivers may want to seek alternate routes.
Construction for the Water and Sewer Utility Infrastructure Renewal program will continue with traffic impacts along Belvedere Avenue this week. Traffic control personnel will be on-site, but drivers may want to seek alternate routes. Sidewalks in the area may also be impacted.
Weather
It’s going to be another wet and windy day across P.E.I. with showers beginning this morning and changing to flurries or rain showers near noon, ending this evening. Wind gusts between 50 and 80 km/h are expected. The daytime high will remain around 4 C with a low tonight of zero.

Northumberland Ferries

Confederation Bridge
ADVISORY: Weather Services today indicates wind conditions on Oct. 18 that may result in restrictions of traffic on the Confederation Bridge beginning at 6 a.m. today until 7 a.m. tomorrow.
