OTTAWA - P.E.I.'s newest senator has been sworn in. 

Former Abegweit First Nation Chief Brian Francis was sworn in Tuesday in Ottawa less than a week after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the appointment.

Francis fills a seat that has been vacant since Libbe Hubley retired in 2017.
