CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 22-year-old P.E.I. man has been charged in connection with an incident that occurred at the Charlottetown Harbour in August 2018.

Morgan Arnold MacLeod’s case was called on Feb. 11 in provincial court in Charlottetown on a charge of dangerous operation of a vessel – in this case, a personal watercraft – after one he was operating collided with one operated by a 21-year-old P.E.I. man on Aug. 12, 2018.

The other operator, Carter Michael Wood, later died in hospital from injuries he sustained in the accident.

The court report stated that MacLeod “did operate a vessel on internal waters of Canada” in a “manner that was dangerous to the public and thereby caused death”.

MacLeod will make another appearance in provincial court on Feb. 25.
