CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - A toast and roast to Charlottetown Mayor Clifford Lee will be held at the Delta Prince Edward by Marriott on Saturday, Nov. 3.

The event is designed as a kick off to the mayor’s endowment fund.

It will be hosted by former CBC personalities Bruce Rainnie and Kevin “Boomer’’ Gallant with the reception beginning at 6 p.m. and the dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $100 (tax receipts available upon request for the allowable portion). Corporate tables are also available for purchase.

Proceeds of the ticket sales will go to the endowment fund. Proceeds from the fund will go toward community outreach initiatives and programs in Charlottetown.

The Community Foundation of P.E.I. is the host organization and will manage the funds, including the donations and earnings from the endowment fund.

Examples of eligible projects include, outreach initiatives designed to improve the lives of vulnerable youth or kids in crisis, projects that support families and individuals requiring palliative care, projects created to connect and engage youth in the community, programs that support youth with special needs and lectures/speaking engagements to raise awareness on issues that impact youth and their families.

Tickets for the toast and roast can be purchased at City Hall on Queen Street by cash or cheque. Make cheques payable to the Community Foundation of P.E.I. For more information, call 902-566-5548.
