A 27-year-old man who was caught when an off-duty police officer saw him driving while he wasn’t allowed to be was sentenced recently to 30 days in jail.
Jeffrey Alexander Hillier appeared before Chief Judge Nancy Orr in provincial court in Charlottetown where he pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified.
The court heard that on April 7 an off-duty officer who recognized Hillier saw him driving away from the liquor store in West Royalty.

With the latest conviction, he will be on a further driving prohibition for one year.
