CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Drivers and pedestrians in Charlottetown should be on the lookout for work crews throughout the city today.

Sidewalk and curbing work is scheduled for the following areas all week:

  • Pownal Street between Kent and Richmond streets;
  • Patterson Drive between Southgate Avenue and Glenafton Drive;
  • Maple Avenue between Greenleaf and Oak drives;
  • Oak Drive between Brackley Point Road and Maple Avenue.

Street line painting is also underway, 5 to 8 a.m., at the intersection of Queen Street and Belvedere Avenue. Single lane closures and minor delays should be expected, but traffic flow should be maintained.

Kent Street between Great George and Prince streets continues to be reduced to one-lane traffic. Sidewalks within the construction area are also impacted and pedestrians are asked to seek alternate routes. This closure is for construction related to the Fitzroy Parkade expansion. The parkade remains closed until further notice.
