Road work has begun on Cascumpec Road between Oyster Creek Bridge and Cascumpec Bridge for a distance of 5.9 kilometres.

The area affected is on Route 12 in Casumpec/Fortune Cove.

Work includes placing asphalt seal. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work site. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey signs and traffic control personnel. Traffic should be prepared to stop. Two-way, one-lane stop-and-go traffic will be in effect.

Work is expected to continue into early next week.
