A P.E.I. woman charged with attempted murder and administering a noxious substance appeared in court today only to have her case adjourned to Sept. 10.

An assessment of the 43-year-old accused’s mental condition has been ordered.

A publication ban is in place preventing the release of information that could identify the victim.

According to the Queens District RCMP, at 3:50 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, officers responded to a 911 call in Scotchfort. Officers were assisted by the RCMP major crime and forensic investigation units.

The accused remains remanded in custody.
