Strong winds that may cause damage are expected today across P.E.I., according to a release by Environment Canada.
Strong easterly wind gusting to 80 kilometres per hour are expected to develop this morning. Winds will diminish slightly this afternoon as they switch to the southwest.
These southwesterly winds will strengthen on Sunday morning with gusts up to 90 km/h then slowly weaken by the afternoon.
Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
Meanwhile, the confederation bridge has restricted certain classes of vehicles from crossing until the wind changes.
Restricted classes include automobiles towing trailers, recreational vehicles and buses.
Northumberland Ferries has cancelled all of its crossings for Nov. 10 and Nov. 11 due to the weather.
