Wanted man arrested in Charlottetown by off-duty RCMP officer

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 40-year-old P.E.I. man who was wanted by police has been arrested.

An off-duty RCMP officer recognized Steven Joseph Flynn who had been unlawfully at large since June of this year.

The officer arrested Flynn Nov. 14 in the in the parking lot of the Charlottetown Walmart.

Flynn will appear in Charlottetown provincial court on Nov. 18 to answer to numerous charges, including flight from police, unlawfully at large, resist arrest, prohibited driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, breach of probation and possession of stolen property over $5,000.00
