VIDEO: Part 2 of The Guardian's 2018 year-end interview with P.E.I. Premier Wade MacLauchlan

In Part 2 of The Guardian's annual year-end interview with Wade MacLauchlan, chief political reporter Stu Neatby asks the P.E.I. premier about the decision to end the controversial business stream of the Provincial Nominee Program, a planned review of school infrastructure, and the controversy surrounding funding for the French-language École Évangéline in Abrams-Village.

MacLauchlan also spoke about his thoughts on the recent stay of charges levelled against the owners of the Sherwood Motel. The owners, who immigrated to P.E.I. from China over a decade ago, were accused by the Canada Border Services Agency of counselling PNP applicants to fraudulently claim the motel as their permanent address. The owners have said they were innocent.

Part 3 of the video interview will appear on The Guardian's website Friday, Dec. 29, while a print version of the entire interview was published in The Guardian’s Thursday, Dec. 27 edition.
